Reviews of Let Them Float

I received some tremendous praise for my new book Let Them Float on the blog tour. For instance:

Dr Alice Violett said, ‘The seven stories, varying in length from two to 67 pages, are infused with the author’s trademark offbeat ideas, brilliant descriptions, and witty observations.’ 5⭐️

Kirsty Whitlock said, ‘This book consists of seven enchanting, unique, thought provoking, eclectic and definitely eccentric stories…. I loved every one…This has GOT to be one of favourite book of short stories of all times! Absolutely LOVED IT!’ 5⭐️

Hannah Boyland said, ‘oh. my. god. i enjoyed these short stories so so much. the main story of this book is ‘let them float’ which i thought was brilliant, thought provoking and took a look into mental health. i really enjoyed how the story was structured and how it usedthree different POVs. Out of the other short stories, my favourite story by far was “dusker”. Part of the reason I wanted to read this book was that the author also has M.E, but i was not expecting a short story that was going to hit that close to home!’ 5⭐️

Other reviews can be found on Goodreads. Thanks to RandomThings blog tours and Zooloosblogtour for arranging the reviews. Also, https://twitter.com/ZooloosBT/status/1732886452042658188/video/1.

Brotherless Nights

I was honoured to interview VV Ganeshananthan for 3AM Magazine about her powerful book Brotherless Nights, a New York Times editor’s recommendation. The story is about a family of four young siblings fractured by the Civil War in Sri Lanka in the 1980s. We talked about the careful, detailed research the writer did for the book and consequently how long it took to write. It features the brave and intelligent female first-person protagonist, Sashi, who at the start is studying for A levels and wants to become a doctor. The book deals with the complex, difficult choices people face in times of civil war.
